This past weekend I had a chance to get together with Jerry Thomas while passing through Roanoke, which incidentally is a beautiful town nestled in the valley of the Blue Ridge mountain area. I'll get some pics together and post them later. I misplaced my glasases, can't type for beans.

For a little guy that works alone he does great work. Well, he does have his father working part time on ocassion...and he's 78! Does tearouts too! Must be that mountain livin' that keeps 'em in shape.

The pleasure was all mine Ken. I told you wrong though .. Whitey is 79 years old. Put him on the business end of a 36" gorilla bar and that particle board is coming out in a hurry. I'm 55 and he hangs right with me no matter what we are tearing out.

I want a picture of your truck so i put it under my pillow.

Whitey eh? You'll have to get some pics. I've been trying to get something together in words and writing to put on the Job Week page so I can link here, but it's a different time. Time to quit smokin' Everyehere I go it's ..no smoking..go outside this and that. I can't really put anything together without the comfort of a smoke. Maybe I'll have to find some cigar bar up here in Pennsylvania.

Now Virginia that's a different story. I was shocked when the waitress in downtown Roanoke asked smoking or non smoking section. Who else on this board smokes butts? Gary?

Time to go and have a smoke outside..hehe

Just went I95 north after a visit in DC visiting the FloorMedic

www.floormedic.com

Got a real good idea of what I never see in the south. 100 year old brick foundation homes with old heart pine floors. Talk about out of whack floors. It's been a real education and lot's of pics. Spent some time at the Naval Acadamey(Annapolis) where Rick does a lot of restoration work.

Now in Bucks County Pa where I grew up. Many old farmhouses built mid 1700's. Beautiful area. Saw Phillies -Braves Thursday night. First time in that new ball park. My office is my truck if I want to have a smoke and do this. Staying with an old friend till the end of May.

And the area is over populated with deer too. They actually pay people to eliminate the problem...
