We are a carpet cleaning getting into cleaning hardwood as well. We found it a nightmare to try to clean and apply a refresher when the floors have had coats of Orange Glow or other acrylic coatings. I found a test kit from Basic Coatings that will show if the floor has acrylic on it but was wondering what that product is. I'm sure they are charging me 10 time what i could most likely get locally. Whats in that stuff?

What is Orange Glow? What are you talking about? is it harder to clean acrylic than oil based finish? what do you use for cleaning?

I can determine type of the finish from how it looks. I've never heard there are some tests for it?

Orange Glow is a product people buy at stores to clean and add shine to their floors. Over time the wood floors become clouds and some of the acrylic starts to flake away. We use a test kit from Basic coatings

to see if the floor has this on there because we charge more when we have to remove it from wood floors when cleaning. It's a nightmare to remove and takes more time so we test and up the price if we find a floor to have this or similar product on it.

The only way to learn your experience is fighting through issues.
