So my friend had her floor done and within 5 months a huge hill in the middle of her living room had appeared. Being that I have flooring knowledge & exp she called me in to investigate, I obviously had to relive the tension and went straight to the CC test.

Here are the results:

8.8lbs
Ph strip showed 7 which is "ok" according to this specific test. i only did one spot (where the hill was)

Now this is pretty damn high if you ask me (maybe not, considering I have never had a reading this high) , can I get some ideas of what this could mean? could this be a larger problem then just normal? Can i just seal it it and lace and glue in some new flooring? or is this serious enough to warrant further professional help? I would appreciate any help and advice.

Did you grind off the adhesive to bare concrete when you did the test? You should have had a higher number on the ph test if you did. Uncontaminated conrete should read 9 - 13.

Is there a moisture retarder system under it besides the adhesive? Ad what type/brand of adhesive?

Aye, the floor was scuffed with a grinder prior to the test. Looks like Bostik Best was used and no sealer prior to the installation.
