I'm having 1,700 sf of 3/8" engineered flooring installed on the 2nd Floor over plywood. My installer has given me the option of staple only, glue down with cork underlayment, or glue down with Taylor MS adhesive, which would also provide sound deadening. Does anyone have any experience with the sound deadening properties of the Taylor MS? How much of a difference should I expect between the three options?
