After solving my problems with an oak floor that was finally refinished properly (I thinK) allowing the poly to stick, Painters masked the floor prior to painting with blue painters tape. It was on over a week and when it was removed it lightened the color. How should I fix it.

Wait a couple week and see if it equalizes before you do anything.

If the only issue is that the finish is lighter, it is probably just oxidation of the exposed wood relative to the taped areas. This should self correct in about the same period of time the floor was concealed by the tape.
