I just had my hard wood floors done with high gloss. You can see swirl marks in the evening which is driving me crazy. The company said they have been doing floors for over 30 years and it is because we used high gloss. They offered to come back and redo using a 220 grit but want us to sign a waiver stating we will not ask them to redo again. Frustrated in Wingdale. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Have them come as soon as they can schedule the work. Another coat of finish usually will make it right. With many coats of finish on the floor you might like to try semi-gloss finish, which will still be pretty shiny. With so much reflection from the surface on a glossy floor you notice how smooth the floor is, but don't see into the grain.
Minor scuffs show up more with a glossy finish.

Thank you for your advice. They are coming back out this morning. We are going to have them use semi gloss. I'll give you an update
