thanks i'll try that
is there anyway to avoid these in the future
am I doing something wrong
This is my first non-solid flooring install, and i did quite a bit of research, on this site as well as others and just thought it would come out with a better final product. very frustrating
Trying to figure out if it is the product or my instalation that is the problem

Apparently the cleats need to go in at little steeper angle for this product. Is the tounge midway down?

When using the tapping block/hammer method of flattening the little dimples, be carefull not to do it too hard. These chinese products have very brittle finishes and you wont want to fracture it, which would lead to flaking off of the finish in these areas given time.
My guys doo tape a small piece of 2 m.m. cork on the plate of their nailer at the front edge to steepen the trajectory of the cleat, seems to help.

I take my solid plastic tapping block, turn it on its side, put it over the bump and give it a good whack with the hammer. It gets most of them out but am not sure what it will be like long term but have never had a complaint yet.

Take a piece of scrap flooring and turn it over so it is finish to finish. Use your framing hammer on the scrap, right above the pimple.

I use a 3/16 crown 18 Gauge staple with the air set about 80#, and don't get pimples.
