I am about to embark on a home renovation in Victoria, BC (near Seattle). We will be installing Synergy bamboo flooring from Teragren on at-grade concrete slab and over crawlspace. The Synergy flooring is 0.5" strand woven bamboo (solid) and very hard. The tongue and groove flooring is glue-down on the slab and I expect they will use Bostik's Best glue. I want to install electric underfloor heating for this flooring as well. However, I am concerned about VOC emissions. I understand that both the glue and flooring are low emissions products. However, with underfloor heating would there be more emissions? Is this a cause for concern? Is there another glue anyone would recommend? Thanks.

Taylor MS plus is the adhesive that you are looking for. It is solvent free and no voc's to speak of. Great environmental choice!

I would make positive the concrete pan pour, is completely dehydrated!!!

I would also use Bostik's MVP4 in conjunction with the Bostik's BEST adhesive.

I have 3 inspections this year so far with that flooring and the lingering off gassing of odors. A sweet pungent smell, that has run the consumers out of their homes, making them feel nausea and headaches, in all 3 cases.
