We had this installed about a year ago: http://www.ghsproducts.com/store/p/654- ... alnut.aspx

It has an aluminum oxide "endura" finish. We have been washing it with soap and water occasionally since it's in the kitchen and gets spills on it (was probably not the best idea to put this in a kitchen). It doesn't look so good now, and has lost it's sheen - it also seems like it might be getting damaged.

We thought we should put some UV resistant wax on there - I understand that this means we will have to regularly maintain the wax coating, but it seems better than having the floor become ugly and damaged.

Would you guys recommend that - any particular product? Other suggestions? Thanks very much!

Devon

is it a solid wood floor? Engineered wood?
You may be able to have it screened and re coated with new finish. Honestly, I've never screened aluminum oxide finish and coated over it, but typically that's the best solution for dulling/bad finish as long as there's no de-lamination.

Corboo from USfloors, I'd go to their tech page and look at the maintenance section for it. Then call then. They may have an answer for you.
