I've heard about strand-woven bamboo products that will actually cup within each strand, giving the look of "extreme" checking. It takes a few months to happen, usually. Has anyone here heard of or witnessed this type of behavior?

Like to see a picture of that also.

Installed a lot of Strand Bamboo ( Morning Star ) . The stuff is hard as a rock. When it 1st came out I did a naildown install with it , that was a riot.

I cant imagine that type of problem going on with that product.

Due to the extreme pressure involved in the manufacture of the woven strand bamboo; I find it unlikely that individual pieces within the structure would be able to "cup". If low quality adhesives were used (very possible), then perhaps some pieces could detach and appear cupped, i guess.
Ya a picture would surely help in this case.
