I was reading a post about strand bamboo and mositure meters. How do I field check the moisture content of strand bamboo? Are there any moisture meters out there that can accurately read strand bamboo moisture? My experience is that pin meters do not work because they measure moisture by using the electrical resistance between the pins. In solid & veneered wood products that works well but with strand bamboo, there is resin, bamboo water and other components in the product rendering the reading unreliable.
