Bostitch has a prefinished adapter foot that has a wider base, wheels and polymer edge. Is this adapter necessary to install 3/4" prefinished flooring or will any stapler with non-marring foot work?

The standard stock plate on the M111 will allow you to fasten 3/4"

Well I'll be danged if I can get mine to work. It will not allow me to set the staple at the right depth because of the way it sets up. The business part of the stapler is to far away! Maybe I got a defective stapler. lol Cus I ordered another adapter from Amazon and it was exactly the same.

So I just use the standard plate and tape it up so as to avoid scratching the wood.
