I am getting hardwoods installed in my two story home that is currently completely carpeted. The installer said that the stairs are hardwood and there fore he does not need to do anything but stain them to match the wood we are putting on the floors which is 5" Spiced Walnut engineered. Does this sound ok? Please help, this guy has a good reputation and has great prices.
