 Post subject: Stairnose question

What's the consensus for attaching a 3/4" solid oak stairnose? Facenail and fill the holes? Nail through the front of the nose into the back wall of the riser? Glue? Combos of the above? The undercut of the stairnose fits flush against the backwall of the riser, so it's well supported.

We glue and nail as a rule. Occasionally we will only if it is a prefinished floor that is hard to match a filler or putty with, in this case we will weight it down and/or tape in place until dry. Hope this helps

glue/nail, use the tung and groove method. Never had one move on me, but I have ALWAYS done those three things.
