2000-2200 sq.ft. not including the garage.

You can find killer deals in rual areas around.

Like $250,000 for house, barn, shop and about 100 acres, but you have to get 75 miles away from the cities to get those prices.

Yep, my brother bought a house on the outskirts of Austin a few years ago. Paid about $130,000.00 for. It has an inground pool, about 2000 sq.ft. 3 bedrooms, 2&1/2 baths. Nice home. He works for Dell. 12 yrs. ago, I paid $182,500.00 for my home. 2000+ sq.ft. nice house. Last year, models just like mine sold for $590,000.00+. Now, we're looking at between 5 and 1/4 or 5&1/2. So wages are relative. In high cost of living areas, wages are typically higher. There are a few exceptions like Boston. To buy a house in Boston costs big bucks but the illegals are keeping the cost of floor finishing down to under a buck a ft, so I hear from other boards. I'm glad I'm not from Boston.
