Hi all, I'm installing Bruce Kennendale Prestige Plank, 3.5 x 3/4 solid maple on stairs and i can't seem to match the unfinished stair nose. I called Bruce and they told me they used an oil base product thats UV cured and some mumbo jumbo i didn;t understand.

Anyway they told me to buy their product prefinished, couldn't find a supplier so went and bought unfinished. I've tried a couple things but can't seem to match it. The only thing that comes close is one coat of oil poly, the morew coats of oil i put on the darker it seems to get, does that make sense?

So if anyone worked with this particular product and has any ideas, it would be much appreciated, thanks.
