Hello..
Looking at BR111 or WFI 3" 3/4" Brazilian Teak/Cumaru flooring to be nailed over 3/4" OSB. Hardwoodinstaller site lists stability as "below average". Comparatively, stability of northern red oak is listed as "average".
NWFA's site. however, lists Cumaru as being 7% more stable than northern red oak.
I realize these are just numbers, but it sparked my curiosity.
Bottom line, should I be concerned with the stability of Cumaru. I live in a Chicago suburb with rather large swings in temp and humidity. I do have a brand new furnace with a fully operational humidifier.
