We installed BR 111 engineered flooring almost a year ago. Our subfloor was very uneven but we used some type of roofing material to level out most areas.
There was one really bad spot that we just could not get right (apparently). It is about a 3' x 4' section. When you walk on it, you can see the floor squish down and it is kind of bouncy. The area is very close to the stair molding/step down living room, so we could unscrew the stair molding and probably remove some baseboards to try and lift the floor a bit to fix the problem.
What would we use to fix this? I have read a lot of the other posts on fixing this type of problem but no real conclusive answers on products to try and use, etc.
Should we try sliding another piece of the roofing material in there?
Thanks
