I am getting ready to install engineered hardwood flooring on a 45 degree angle in my den and extend it into the foyer. I have read that I should start in the middle & work my way toward each wall. I can't find spline to match...only 3/4 inch...do they even sell it for engineered floors? Engineered spline would be much smaller. What would be my best solution. I have never cut spline before. The groove sides extend out on the bottom so I would not be able to glue the groove sides together unless I sand or plane down the bottom groove & I am afraid I will not get it even & there could be a gap. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Stan

Every flooring manufacturing company that I have dealt with makes a spline and coordinating router bit. But if your flooring does not make one available, turn to one of the companies that would have a product of similar tongue and groove size and use theirs as long as it is at least as large of a groove as your flooring.
