Don't stencils go on top of the stain and first finish coat anyway? I don't know but find it intriguing.

Also I sent a link of this riser site people to a new client I did a floor for last week that is interested in taking the carpet off the stairs (pie stairs on a curved staircase) and doing hardwood. She also wants to do the wrought iron just like in the pics on this site. Maybe get these people some business, and me too. I wonder if they can work with E-Z tread people and everyone match the same stain. It's pretty mutch just dark walnut stain on birch. Should look fabulous if it all comes out right.

That could be one hot lookin spiral. Used to do quite a few spirals, when I had my store in the mountains, no designer stuff though. they were all floating treds,( no risers). The spiral companies would supply and prefinish treds, no problem. Seems like a natural for this company to get hitched up with spiral companies for risers. Hope you can put this together, I'd like to see pictures

I got to thinking about that look for resale or what a new buyer would do if they dislike the risers.

Trowel fill, and paint them?

I was thinking if they were cut all the way through and you had access to the back of the stairs you could do a light show!

Maybe neat chasing patterns and colors running up and down the stairs, disco type stuff with a motion detector that turns on the music when you get near it, then Christmas is coming ya know.

That I see as a possible problem,(resale). People could just skin over the top of them. But most people looking at a house, if they're turned off, they may not think about options. I wonder if it's not on the personnel side. Like people do personnel colors and treatments to walls. But walls....a potential buyer would think about changing, no problem, I dont know about risers.
