The manufacturer I bought my flooring from does not make those flush heater registers and I'm having a hard time finding any. Any suggestions appreciated. I'm looking for maple ones in 6 x 14 (to match the rest of the house that already had them).

Alternatively, is it feasable to make them out of flooring material, as I only need 8 or 9 of them.

Thanks

I have always bought them from my local flooring distributor. I am sure there probably is some online company as well. Making them does not seem feasable to me when I get them for about $30.00 ea.

Thank you Gary. I guess I need to check around at a few more places.

When I did a wood ceiling, I bought some from Cape Cod Air Grilles. Or Cape Cod-something. Their standard material is red oak, but they will do them in just about any size and species. A little pricey, but they were nice. I actually had to pay an upcharge for pine!

They make grilles or inserts in a couple of different styles. I bought mine with square edges, 3/4" thick, and fitted them flush into the ceiling boards. they also sell them with a lip so the won't fall through the hole.
