I am having an installer float some BR111 Engineered (American Maple) in my living room. I have a concrete subfloor in a 3rd floor condo. I've been following the threads and I appreciate all of the valuable information.

I am currently shopping for sound underlayment w/ vapor protection (vapor protection required for the BR111 warranty) to reduce noise for my downstairs neighbor and also/mainly to reduce the tapping sound caused by floating installs. I have compiled a list of the various sound underlayment products I've come across on this site. I would appreciate input/comparisons on the various products listed. I would like to keep it under $1 /sq ft, however the quality of the product is more important than the cost...for the most part, but I'd love to find something that is a great value.
