I am installing a bamboo wood floor on the second story bedroom. Pywood floor. Your site mentions felt paper but I need to know if the foam membranes available for floating installations is a better sound barrier. Can I use this as I plan on staple down floor.

Cork will work. Midwest padding makes sound proofing membranes as does Acousti-tech.
