Hello experts!

I am getting ready to install a new hardwood floor in a room with a concrete slab floor. I used the Taylor Tools Moisture Test Kit (#625) (http://www.taylortools.com/prod20.html) to test the moisture emission. My results were not too good. The three tests I ran averaged to a moisture emission of about 7lbs over a 100 sq area in a 24 hour period.

I now need to reduce that number by applying another product. The two I am looking at are:
ARDEX Moisture Control System - http://www.ardex.com/prod-mc-bro.htm
or
Bostik MVP4 - http://www.bostik-us.com/products/index.asp?fa=subCategoryPages&divisionId=2&categoryId=2&subCategoryId=49&subCategoryPageId=34

The Ardex one is to be used before the leveling compound and the Bostik is to be used after.

Does anyone recommend one over the other or have a different suggestion for me?

Thank you,
LuvMyJeep

We are planning on (hoping to) glue down the floor. It's an engineered hardwood floor. We are considering using Bostiks BST or perhaps Stauf

ok...i got confused in your OP when you said "hardwood floor"...i thought maybe it was a solid floor.

if engineered, why not float it over the cement? that way you can use some good quality vapor barrier under it.

MVP is just right for you. Heck, it only costs 80 pennies a foot to use.
