I live in North Central Texas, a relatively arid climate, and will be doing a glue down to concrete. I would like to know what the professionals think of a solid product in lieu of an engineered.

Over concrete, I'd chose an engineered every time.

Solid over concrete is a very big risk. VERY BIG!!!

Would these dimensions (2 3/16" x 3/8" x 15") have any impact on your previous response Floorguy?

Nope.

Engineered would have never been made, if it were not for concrete slab construction.

There is a reason!!!!

Don't know what happended to my reply. If you got this twice, sorry. New to these forums. Anyway, thanks again for your info. My brother bought 3 pallets of solid Brazillian cherry at an auction. The company that manufactured it in Houston went out of business. He paid .40 a square foot for it. After hearing what you had to say, I guess I want take the chance.
