I know, I know...There are tons of posts in here that explain some of the steps involved in the process of installing solid over slab.

BUT....

Would anyone be willing to explain the process of installing a solid; nail-down wood floor on slab? I am aware of DIY articles and what not, but nothing beats experience. And that is why I have come to you all.

If you could explain the process for preparing the slab for install, through actually getting the wood flooring started and laid down.

If I can get enough feedback I will gladly put together a step by step list of what needs to be done for installation of a solid nail-down floor and post it for a possible 'sticky' title.

I appreciate any and all feedback and be aware I am as new to this as my 3 month old boy is to this world.

Thank you all in advance.

Who missed this one??

Requires a plywood subfloor. A lot of work involved and not a DIY project but if you're determined, you can find some good starter tips at the NOFMA site.
