Hello,

I am replacing a section of 5' X 5' of laminate because it continues to move. When I mean move I don't mean vertically, but if I walk on it and stop suddenly it will "slide" parallel to the floor.

The section I am doing is less than two planks in lenght and since it is a floating installation it has the capacity to move. I am guessing that there is not enough planks in the row so it doesn't take much weight for it to slide.

Does this make any sense?

If someone could help me correct this issue that would be great. I was thinking of installing the shoe tight against the laminate it might correct the problem. Just a thought.

Thanks for your help!

You probably have a clic-lok type of joint between the planks. It used to be that we would glue the edges. You could also glue the edges along with the clic-loc joint, but it would be a permanent fastening. Use titebond II.
You need to have the expansion room under the shoe.
Don't use a lot of glue, you may get edge-peaking.

Awesome,

That seemed to work perfectly. Thank you so much for your input!
