I am installing bruce 5/16 solid wood, and it will run parallel to two Anderson sliding glass doors in the family room. I do not like the look of transitions. what other options do I have.

Thanks

A small 1/2" quarter round against the sill should cover the expansion gap. Looks nice.

does it matter that bruce wants you to leave 3/4 of an inch for expansion?

No. 1/4" to 3/8" is adequate.

With that soild I'd go a 3/8" - 1/2" on the expansion space. I could see it taking a 1/4 up.

Proper acclimation and constant humidity levels are going to be your life savers with that floor.
