Ok, It is a great looking Canadian Natural Maple floor and I am just about finished most of the runs. It looks quite nice on a 1st try.
I do not have time to install the quarter rounds, baseboards and transition strips. Can this wait a week or two or will the floor shift?
How can I prevent any movement of the floor?
Should I use scrap wood as temporary base boards?
The floor I am installing is a Trillium Uniclic Engineered floating floor over 6mm cork (I know strata rules).
Thanks All.

Cheers,
Zen

I wouldn't worry about the floor "shifting'. Unless your planning on moving a piano or pool table accross it  . Even then, done right, it shouldn't shift the floor.

Your o.k holding off on the base & transition mouldings for a little bit, ( like the time frame you mentioned). I wouldn't wait too long. It's possible that at the transition locations the floor may raise slightly, at that edge, and it will be a little difficult to install the transitions.

Ya, don't worry too much about temporary baseboards. They shouldn't be fastened to the floor anyway so would do nothing to prevent shifting of the floor.
