Thanks in Advance

What do you mean "looks great"??

Have you put a tooth on the existing finish, so the new finish will have something to grip on, and not peel later?

If your thinking about just tacking with mineral spirits, and then coating without screening, DON'T DO IT!!!!

I read somewhere if you tack the floor with mineral spirits in its wet stage this is how your floor will finish..Any blemishes will show through...My floor looks great, no scratch marks or divots nothing....The floor is red oak and last grit was 100.....I've read and watched videos and did as much homework as I could never a mention of a tooth..Makes since though...I'm assuming the screening is the tooth, with red oak what grit screen?..

thanks in advance

If you screened and tacked it you should be ready to coat .. I always tacked 3 times waiting 1/2 hr in between before coating .. make sure you have all the dust off the base boards [etc].
