Hi All. I am going to install my hard wood floor in my livingroom and down the hallway. The hallway is L shaped, the first part of the hallway is parallel to the living room . the question is when i turn the corner in the hall should I change the direction of the hardwood flooring and tie it into the other one to make it look great. I know it can be a lot of work but it probably look better than having just short pieces of the flooring crossing all the way down the hallway. not really sure what to do. (the first part of the hall has stairs in front of it)

I have changed directions a few times in this situation, I think it looks good. Normally where the two directions meet, as opposed to a 45 degree mitre, I will install that intersection point as a basketweve or herringbone pattern.
