I am trying to install a floating engineered bamboo floor over concrete in our condo on 6th floor. I removed the old parquet floor and what is left on the concrete is the black sticky cutback adhesive. I read on the Board that I should leave this alone and just put my 2 in 1 foam on the floor and then install my new floor directly on it. Now the problem I am having is that there are areas on the floor that need to be leveled. I have the Levelquick compound and I also bought the Level Quick Latex Primer. I want to know if I can use the Level quick compound directly over the old adhesive or should I completely remove the black stuff before attempting to level the floor?
I really appreciate your help with this question.

Assuming that your cutback may have asbesto's in it, depending on the age of your townhouse, I wouldn't scrape it. You can use 3 tab shingles, 30lb and 15lb felt to build up the low area.
If there was no asbestos in the cutback, I would use a fresh blade in a razor scraper to take it down as far as I could, then use the leveler.
