Ok, Had a local mill where we get alot of hardwood from hook us up on a 1000 sq. foot install.. They milled us up random width american cherry in 3", 4", and 5".
Here is where it starts to get tricky, they ran them in rather long lengths, mostly 8' to 15', and bustard cut the ends(no t&g ends).
The question now is do we cut them all in random shorter lengths to mix it all up?? And what about the end? Take time and T&G all of them, biscuit joint them, or but them and glue in hopes the side t&g keeps height?
Anyone run into a problem as this, or any strong suggestions? Years of experience from a old soul would be very appreciated.....

Regards,
Mike S.G.C.

I would route and spline the ends witch is basically the same as a biscuit but a little faster imho. I would try and keep as much as the length as posssible. Once you start cutting you have all the short cut pieces you will need from your cut offs. Long lenghts are easier to install (if they are straight) if they are bowed i would start by cutting the most bowed pieces first.

Thanks so much for the quick reply!! I pretty much thought the same just wanted for some one to say the same thing... The lumber was very amazing... Extremely straight.. Well I guess that settles the debate..
