Hi, I'm new to the world of hardwood flooring... We just moved into our brand new home, and we chose to have hardwood floors in the kitchen and foyer. They are absolutely beautiful! Except I have one problem.. I fear my wife is turning into a scratch nazi! Every day she tells me she "found" another scratch in the floor.. In under a week, our kids have made scratches and small dents in the floor with their hot wheels cars, before putting chair-leg pads on the bottoms of our chairs, we scratched the floor with those already.. The hardwood floor we have is the factory pre-finished kind.. My question is, is there anything I can do to get rid of these little scratches, and is there anything I can coat the floor with to prevent these scratches?

Chances are that if you apply anything to your floor it will void your warranty.
