Hi,

I am renting a small apartment with a wooden floor. I have just realized that one of the felt pads on the bottom of chair had fallen off and as a result the floor area underneath that portion has been scratched so that there doesn't seem to be any finish is a roughly 8 inch by 6 inch circular area. I am a complete novice when it comes to hardwood floor care. Is there something I can do myself to re finish this or is it something that is much better to contact the landlord.
