When sanding the micro beveled hardwood floor, do recommend sanding it till the old finish is gone or till there is no trace of micro beveled edge? If just removing the old finish, do you fill the micro beveled space with wood putty?

Thank you in advance.

take the bevel all the way out. Filler wont hold and will look like a hammered toe.

Depending on the micro-bevel and the customer a few of the times i had to rescrape a bevel with a v-groove scraper (that can be found at most wood flooring distibutors) and lots of elbow grease. But i agree 99% of the time resand just enough to make the micro bevel disappear and do not try and fill.

Ya, unless your floor only has like 1mm of wood on top.
