I am installing an unfinished engineered flooring that is nice and smooth except for minor planer marks that are left from milling. I was told it would only need sanding with 80 or 100 grit. I do have a drum sander, but do you guys think I would better off with a vibratory type sander or one of those oscillating types? It's been a while since I used the drum sander and I wouldn't want to over-sand the wear layer. What would you guys use? Thanks.

A trio or Super-Bee will work well for you.

Thank you, I will look into these. My Home Depot rents the vibratory sanders that take the rectangular sandpaper, are they any good? They also just got in one (U-Sand brand) that takes 6" or 7" round paper and has 4 pads that are similar to a palm sander (random orbit), is this similar to a trio or Super-Bee?

They are really only good for screening and not a full sand.
