Our message board is provided for the benefit of all. By following the guidelines below we feel it's fair to everyone. By using this messaging board, you agree to abide by the following rules:
1- Always use common sense and be respectful of others. We get a variety of opinions; some of which are completely valid, while others are of questionable authority. With hardwood flooring no answer will be perfect. Much depends on your location, climate, and the norm for your particular area.
2- Foul language or attacking others, often called flaming on internet message boards, will not be tolerated. This forum is not a source for personal or private feuds. Warnings will not be issued.
3- Online sellers? If you have useful knowledge and information to share, by all means do so, but we're not a promotion site. Links to products not allowed.
RULE# 4 is now waived May 13, 2013
Rule #5 Updated May 22/2010
5- Professionals who participate in the forums and assist users are invited to use the area of the signature when posting to indicate their name/business, website link and location. Phone numbers will not be allowed. We will not allow any solicitation through private email unless a consumer has contacted you first. It will be at the sole discretion of the administrators who is allowed to post this information. We would also consider it respectful if you use your links on our site that you post a link to us.
Added September 16, 2009- We are not a billboard advertising site. If you want to attach your website link, you'll have to participate in our discussions. Fly by links used purely for advertising are not permitted.
6- Before posting please read the category description. Being specific with your questions invariably results in better responses.
7- Signatures can only be used by those that contribute to the board. What kind of contributions? We prefer long term contributors, those with obvious knowledge of the industry, and show a pure desire to help. How long will it take to obtain permission for a signature? This will depend on the time, effort, and help you have offered. There is no set time period.
Requests can be sent to to kdfisher at hardwoodinstaller dot com
