HOW DO I INSTALL A 1/4 ROUND MOULDING ALONG A ROUNDED CABINET SURFACE?

Pretty tough job. Any chance to use a flexible plastic type moulding?
The geometry of 1/4 round does not allow for much bending on a lateral plane. Can you use a slimmer trim such as "door-stop"? this will bend much more readily without distorting or breaking

You can make a steamerbox, form it and then let it dry.

The composite plastic, works pretty good. I can get shoe molding to bend a pretty good ways, but quarter round has a shorter limit.

THANKS FOR THE ADVICE, I HAVE DECIDED TO GO WITH THE FLEXIBLE PLASTIC MOULDING.
