Totem said not to use anything under the hardwood and actually said not to because it could be causing the wood to warp, not true right??

Who or what is Totem?

More specifics are needed to answer your question......for instance what type of hardwood (specifically),....and using what installation method,.... being installed over what kind of substrate?

I dont know who totem is,

One of my origial bosses (1996) dint like to use paper (rosin/fugi/fortified/asphalt) Alwasy seemsed to make for squeqy installs.

Now its amnditory for me

What fugi film paper
Hardwood fortified flooring paprer
15# asphalt paper
rosin paper
noting


unless its a glued dow, then no paqer is okay
