 Post subject: rolling engineered

Have seen where it is recommended that you roll floors after they are layed, especially if there is bowing in some boards. I have just layed a couple of starter rows and I have boards that are bowing (I have 2x12's on them now). How much time should you wait till you roll it and will that alone take care of the problem. I can't imagine having to weight an entire floor.

Make sure the adhesive your using says to roll it. I know I have seen some newer adhesives the in big bold letters, say DO NOT ROLL.

It will tell you on the side of the adhesive pail.

Rolling the floor will not flatten a bowed board. Better to find out why the floor is bowed in the first place; probably exposure to excess moisture at some point.
