A quick question on installation of hardwood.

Is there any structural reason why i can't start at one side of the room and move across ensuring that I am square with the center of the room during racking and actual installation? I understand that starting in the center and working out from there accounts for splitting the error for a room that maybe not quite square.

The reason I ask is due to my current configuration with exsisting hardwood and new installation.

Thanx in advance for any responses.

Yes, you can do that. Nothing wrong with it. Plus you will only have one wall to face nail the last few courses intead of two. But on large rooms, it's better to start in the middle.
