I have to remove my glued down engineered wood floors due to damage during foundation repairs. I cannot find a match for the wood, so I'm planning to replace it all. When I pry up the boards, the adhesive component remains perfectly flat on the floor. Can I glue down my replacement floors directly onto the old adhesive, coat it with dribloc, or do I have to tear up and start from scratch?

Thanks.

If you're asking if you can put new glue over the old glue, then the answer is no.

For any warranty to be applicable, you need to install according to manufacturer recommendations - no manufacturer will tell you it is OK to install over old glue. You want to scrape or grind that off down to the subfloor - if its on plywood, and its FLAT, then you may be able to get away with installing some new ply on top, as long as the extra height doesn't muck up the rest of your install at the transition areas.
