My hardwood floors have just been refinished 2 weeks ago ( sanded, restained, polyurethane) and I was wondering how long I have to wait to before putting my area rugs back in place. Are the floors dry enough now to put my rugs back in place?

I have the rubber anti slip padding( says okay for hardwood floors on pack) which goes down under my rugs .

I am not a finisher but I have heard that one should wait 30 days or so before using area rugs. I've also read on other boards that the rug pads sold at Bed Bath & Beyond work very well.

I have no personal experience in either. Just stuff I lave read.

Vicki, there is no easy answer for you, but if you'll always have the rugs inplace I wouldn't worry too much. By putting the rugs inplace a little too early you risk dulling the finish a little. Under a rug, who'll notice?
If you suspect you may move the rugs around (which is recommended, although few do) I'd ask the refinisher.
