I just pulled up my carpet and most of the lenolium where my hardwoods are going down (for glue down engineered on concrete slab).

The lenolium was glued down pretty well and the edges are giving me the most trouble. Other that a lot of elbow grease and working it off with a scraper, any other best ways to accomplish this?

I didn't want to spray any chemicals or adhesive removers in fear of introducing any moisture into the slab. My house just turned a year old and I keep my house between 68-74 year round.

Peel the top layer off( the plastic) Your left with the felt backing. Mop small sections with HOT water, and let it sit for a couple of minutes.
Then get after it with a hand scraper. 4" razor blades and buy an extra pack or two. Put a fan on it to evaporate any moisture, and then add your portland skimcoat or grind and fill the high and low spots first. Then put a fan on it for a few days with the heat on inside.
