Does anyone have any tricks for removing nail down hardwood, from underneath cabinets?
It's 3/4" oak and I tried using a toe kick saw with no luck.Practically broke my wrist from
the kickback. The countertops are ceramic tile so removing the cabinets isn't an option,
although it might have to be?

You may be able to just remove the toekicks, for the "length boards". Other than that, you could use a multi-function tool. Depending on the depth and height, maybe you can get a long handle chisel in there. I vote multifunction though. Never really had a problem with a toekick saw, but those things can be dangerous.

Toekick saw...ya gotta go multiple cuts, go slow and use both hands. Plus cutting in front of the cabinets with a skil saw first relieves allot of pressure.

Good advice. Operator error didn't dawn on me. I like the relief cut idea, should work good with naildown.

gotta keep the blade parallel to the cut. Just go slow and dont force the blade let it eat. If you rented it, a new blade will make a huge difference, be careful ive seen them run up peoples legs who didnt pay attention.

Just think if someone shimmed the cabinet and just slid the planks under it and you went through all that hassle to use a toe kick saw. Not saying it ever happened to me. ha ha  So skilsaw first and see if they pull out.
