Unbelievably my installer TOLD me to use Murphy's Oil soap and now I have a residue which shows every foot print etc on my engineered wood floors. What can I do?

Clean the floors on a regular basis with BONA hardwood floor cleaner. After a half dozen or so cleanings, this should remove pretty much all the Murphy's.
