any suggestions on removing glued down floor, as far as tools other than scrapper, or a sanding machine? any kind of power tools that would chip up the floor? it is about 600 square feet, and i want to finish before i die if you know what i mean. ive heard that solvents will interfere with glueing down the new floor. i have some experience with flooring but not with removing the glue, or glueing floors down. thanks for any advice anyone has.

Circular saw, set to the depth of the floorings thickness. Make many cuts across the rows, about 6" apart or closer. Chisel and hammer, or get a demo hammer and a paddle bit. I have a Bosch, Hammer drill/demo hammer, that has saved me time and grief.

cutting the wood is good , it's work and can be done in a day , if your putting a pergo down there is no glue , on a floater, but you would need to remove the old glue anyway , hand scraping works as long as you keep changing them blades ,alot of labor ,

Pergo now has a hardwood line. They are not just fake laminate any longer.
