I am in the process of removing an old glue down engineered wood floor to put in solid wood. My house has a basement, so I'm removing the glued down floor from 3/4 plywood.

In most of the areas, I'm able to cleanly separate the glue/wood from the plywood. As careful as I've been, there are places where the glue has taken a layer or two of the plywood with it. Most of these areas are small (2-3 inches by 2-3 inches), but there is one area that is probably 18x18 inches square.

Any suggestions on what I could use to fill in these low spots?

Thanks

I'm about to do the same thing. What I'd like to know is what's the fastest method of removing the glue from the plywood?
