what is the best way to remove a glued down floor on concrete?
I would assume that a scrapper and pry bar is needed, but what about the left over glue on the floor? is there something that you can put on the floor like mineral spirits or something to help break up the glue?
I am removing luan that was glued to concrete and stick on tiles that was put on the luan.....a couple of diy did this job..and they don't know why the floor is buckling!!!!
do you think the luan being on the concrete in 70% humidity days could cause it...

well, anyways, if someone has an idea on what would be a good way to remove this so that the concrete is smooth, I would appreciate it...

Cut it into strips or squares. The smaller the better. An electric demo hammer.

Sharp razor scraper. Blisters.

You don't want to use a debonding agent, unless you have the capcity to flood the area, to rinse several times.

That debonding, will debond the new adhesive or asphalt mastic for your moisture barrier system.

There was an installer (Marco) who posted here for awhile that saw a demonstration of a soy bean product that removed adhesives without the toxic chemicals. If you search the message board board carefully, perhaps you can dig up the info about it. Wish I could be more help but I know the info is in here somewhere, just don't know how to dig it up.

Soy Bean, Soy-Gel 5 gallons $230; 200 sq.ft per gallon coverage.

You better rinse it off good, if you plan on bonding anything to the substrate, again.
